TPMS Question
TPMS Question
I just purchased a set of A-SPEC wheels and TPMS sensors which will only be driven during the summer. I will then put my OEM wheels on for the winter. Will I have any problems with the TPMS because Ive heard that I may need to take it to the dealer to have the TPMS computer reconfigured to accept the new sensors. Thanks
Doubt it.
On the 3G they are plug & play - the sensor finds the TMPS sender if/when you change wheels, rotate tires, etc.
Very unlikely they'd change this on the 4G.
BTW - does the dealer give you the kind of BS story about tire rotation? That only the dealer can do it so they can "calibrate" the wheels/TPMS to their new position?
Also, who told you this, Service or Sales? If it was Service, you might consider a new dealer.

They didnt say anything about tire rotation and it was Service who gave me this information. They did advise that they wouldnt charge me if they had to do it. I was just concerned because I didnt want to keep taking the car in everytime I swithched the wheels. Thanks!!
