Teins S lowering springs

Just finish lowering the acura and waiting for the suspension to settle.

Looks good. What made you go with the springs instead of full coils?

considering what you bought for your car already + labor + alignment you should have invested in a set of coils.. just my take on it.. there is no point of "ill buy that shit later in 3-4 months when you can buy it now..

be patient and save up a bit.. it will end up saving you money down the line.

btw show off your cmod grill.. looks like you got a chrome mesh infront of there.

Hey man, great meeting you yesterday. You weren't joking when you said you were putting them on tomorrow. How did the install go?

Get some heavy dudes in the back seat and go for a 2hr road trip and they will settle in no time.

Lol @ potmilkz your avatar is funny as shit. Wish I could have gotten in on that thread!

Good meeting everyone yesterday as well. When I got home I started installing the rear and finish it about 1 am and I started the fronts this mourning and finished around 12. I went outside a little while ago and now it looks lower. I went to the store with my kids In the back and it is rubbing a lot so I am going to give that guy a car that you recommended for the fender roll.

lower rear portion of the seats need to come out.. and you need a pry bar.. i wouldnt recommend doing it if you have never done a suspension install before... oh you need a torque wrench as well.. always good to torque down to specs.

Remove the back seat to get to top mounts, disconnect the strut and spring from the lower control arm and disconnect the drop link to push down the lower control arm.

Oh and the short springs goes in the front. The are labeled f front and r for rear but I agree with pot milks if you never did any suspension work have it professional installed or you need to have someone with experience there to help because a spring ejection is a "B".

Do you own or can you borrow a spring compressor because you'll need one of those for the install.

I bought mine for cheap years ago at a Princess Auto, it's super easy if you have an impact gun at your disposal, if not and you're compressing it by yourself get ready to be annoyed.

Those aren't race springs those are sport springs. H&R makes a sport spring and a race spring for a number of cars with most race springs dropping cars 2+inches vs only about an inch for their sport springs.

Looks way better than the 4x4 you had at the meet.. the rear will settle a little more... took Erin's forever to come down... and hers needs 3 people in it to sit perfect... but can't get in our driveway that low...

^that's my fear with lowering my TL. My driveway is a bit steep. When I take my S2000 out for a spin (every once in a while), I always have to lay down 2x8's so I can make it out and even then, I still scrape a bit.....it'll be a pain to do in a DD.

I've got a curb then the driveway is a hill... original plan I had was just to tapcon a 2x12 into the gutter or pour some concrete with a piece of pvc to fill it in but after I dropped it, it just comes in with no issues as long as the car is at an angle... now Matt can hit my driveway at 30 and just roll right over the curb without hitting I haven't been that brave...

I had to have the rear fender slaved so it would not rub with those 275's back there.

Cool. I'm very familiar with going in at an angle but it's too narrow at my current home. When the times comes, I'll go with coilovers in case I need to adjust.

An air ride would be ideal in this situation, right? lol.

Why shave and not rolled? I would think when you shave femders down the road rust would be a concern?

For people that want a subtle drop and can't afford full coilovers because they can barely afford their car note, H&R sport springs aren't that bad from what I have seen.

H&R Sports are a great option. Sporty, but not firm.
