Michelin Ice x3
TireRack is the bomb ordered Michelin Snow tires ice x3 had them in 5 days. Ordered the winter package deal got rims, tires, tpms sensors for $1300.00 yes its a 2013 Acura TLSHAWD TEC PACK. The tire size was 225/55r17 they FIT PERFECT!!!! The rims match the color of my car plus I got a pre paid gift card for $50.00 to spend on whatever so really I only paid $1250.00. The car had 18s on it I thought I could go with a black steelie but no go did not fit. And yes you do need tpms sensors or your vsa ( vehicle stability assist) traction control will not work. Happy with TIRERACK.COM !!!

I'm envisioning you acting out what you wrote with the same level of enthusiasm as a 10y/o on a sugar rush and it isn't pleasant.
FYI I bought mint 18" 09-11 SH wheels here for 400, used TPMS for 80 on eBay and the same ice3's in 245/45/18, 10/32 used off Craig's for 200, mounted balanced for 40, total price 720.

Way to shit on this thread. Everyone's happy for you that you bought used stuff. ![Doh](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/doh.gif)
Glad you had a good experience, OP. I've used the original X-Ice tires and X-Ice2 tires on several of my cars in the past and they work very nicely in the winter. I'm sure you'll be happy with the 3s!

@ron3.7 -- I did something similar and am also a fan of TireRack.
For my TSX Wagon, I got the 17" Michelin xi3 tires mounted on the original wheels with original TPMS. My OEM wheels already had curb-rash so this gave me the option of buying new lighter wheels and sportier tires come Spring. I got the Michelin $50 rebate as well.
@HeartTLs -- you are such a buzzkill. But you did get a great deal. I hesitate buying used tires because I don't know their history; that is if they were ever punctured or damaged in some way. Also, for winter tires, down-sizing will let you cut through snow better.

I'm sorry, it's not my typical style but his post read similar to a get rich on the internet ad, for a moment I thought his account had been hacked and someone was using it to post propaganda.
I'm also weary when buying used tires, I checked the manufacture date, tread depth and for repairs before buying.

Under mind? You expressed yourself like a child and it was offensive to read. I know the benefit of under sizing for winter tires, but considering how poorly the ice3's corner I felt under sizing would only further exacerbate that. And please don't kid yourself as to whether I or anyone else who chooses to buy used is "skimping" on safety, particularly with wheels/tires; in the car community ppl often sell wheels and tires in mint condition. My summer wheels are forged (new) wrapped with michelin PPS (new), I didn't pay TR prices though.

Agree with HeartTLs.
Unless the roads are snow-bound all winter long, then "narrower-than-stock snow tires" are better choice running always in the snow.
Otherwise, when the roads aren't snow covered, "narrower-than-stock snow tires" are outright unsafe, especially more so when they're 2 sizes narrower (225 vs the stock 245).
Not only will narrower snow tires seriously degrade the emergency avoidance handling capability of the car, they will also increase the effective braking distance too.
Also, check with your insurance agency to make sure that its policy coverage remains valid, when the installed tires don't meet the OE specs for the car.
