Im thinking of getting some 20" wheels but...
I'm thinking of getting some KMC 20" wheels (120x5 20x9 offset 38). They will fit my car as of the website I'm ordering from but I'm wonder if there will be rubbing at all? If so then would wheel spacers help? I saw a post where people where rubbing a bit with 20x10 but that's a whole extra inch so I'm hopping they don't. Any help would be lovely.

The inconvenient truth
Depends on the tires, get 245/35 and you will be fine. Any larger could rub a little.

I'm confused. So get 9.5" tire width for a 10" rim. So would I need to stretch my tires then and wouldn't that end up being the same thing. Cause I was going to get 255/35ZR20. Also would a spacer help as another option (just curious).

The inconvenient truth
I have 20x9 +35 wheels with 255/35 tires and yes they do rub a tiny bit on dips. Now I'm lowered but they guy I bought them from was not lowered and he said they did rub for him too, on big bumps.
Now you are looking at +38 instead of my +35, would that 3mm make a difference? I'm not sure but I doubt it. All that being said 255/35 look much better than the 245/35 but one latter is a much safer option to avoid any rubbing.
Remember that it's the offset that is equally as important as the width of the rim and the size of the tires.
We're talking about some pretty big wheel and tires here. Yet it's the offset that is getting you into trouble.

Oh that makes a ton of sense. Thanks man. I still have a few of questions. Sorry if I sound dumb, just trying to understand things before I go out and buy a potential headache. 1. I'm not quite sure exactly how the offset works. From my understanding the distance from the lip to the center of rim that meets the hub (correct me if I'm wrong). Is a higher offset better or worse. (from what you said early, I think its better?). 2. Would there be a way to increase the distance from fender to tire without dramatically changing it. Like strut spacer and new coil? obviously coil overs would be ideal but that's money I don't have atm. 3. If i were to get 245 tire over a 255, could that cause any other issues and would I need to do anything special for the bead of the tire to reach the lip?

So took your advice went with 245/35ZR20 Nankangs ultra sports with my KMC Gold Newtons 20x9. I ordered the and now just waiting. I also asked my buddy who's the lead mechanic at Honda what his opinion was and he said basically the same thing. He said worst care he has a roller and will roll out my fenders if needed.
