H&R Spring Failure

Anyone experiencing any failure of any parts with the H&R springs? I'm getting a squealing noise while doing 55+ mph, and the noise disappears when I drop below 35mph. I dropped it with Acura and they wouldn't touch it because of the aftermarket springs. They have been on since August 2009. It seems early, but the service manager claims the spring is failing which sounds ridiculous.

Ive had the H&R springs on since march and 3000 miles never any issues. I suggest whom ever install them for you looks it over. Maybe check with H&R as well. If the springs were failing I suspect your car would be missed aligned or an obvious lean and not level causing the car to drift and any speed. my two cents.

Woah - damn... that's an odd sound. Not sure why it would only happen at those speeds. Maybe a bearing?

The thread title is deceiving. I honestly don't believe the spring has failed, but rather there is a possibility that the drop has caused premature failure somewhere. Before bringing the car in I did remove the wheel and check for any debris or obvious damage. I didn't see anything obvious. It was raining today so I didn't get a chance to look in greater detail.

Also the same day I noticed the sound, a second sound occurred like that of a wheel stuck in the wheel well. When I checked, I found that a plastic panel in the well had broken it's clip and was sticking out. I taped it back so it didn't get ripped further out. Strange coincidence or related, I'm not sure.

H&R springs on for roughly 100k, and 6-7 years already with no issues other then a bit of sagging in the front... (but still not a lot though)

Same problem we talked about last time??

i get a rattling noise from my front end when i go over any slight bumps or rivets in the road... i was starting to think it was my from my front end (drivers side)

so far, my springs have been on since February 2010, with about 15K on them

take it back to whomever installed them and definitely have them take a look at it. can you pinpoint a particular corner that the noise is coming from?

I've brought it another mechanic and he swears there is nothing wrong with the spring or shock. I'm bringing it back to Acura tomorrow. I don't see how they can say it's the spring. To me it sounds like a drive train problem.
