Barum Bravuris tires??

Time to put some new tires on the rims. Has anyone have had any experience with Barum Bravuris tires? There a sub division of Continental. Not sure if thats good or bad since Kelly and Uniroyal are also subs of other companies. The only reviews I've found are from Europe and they seem to be decent from those reviews but nothing stateside really. I have a mild stretch running 255/35/20. I have Hankook Ventus and I was not pleased with those tires at all. Especially in the rain.
I'm thinking of trying those Barum, or possibly Sumitomo. I have General Exclaims on the stock 18s and was debating running those in 20in tires.
I've only been able to find the Barums on Discount Tires website.

So, question, rather than go with a guaranteed tried & true brand with excellent reviews, available in tons of sizes, etc why would you go for a brand you can barely find any information about?

Tires are something you shouldn't be skimping on. Go with a known brand and get a good quality tire. Expect to pay ~$800-1000 (or more) for a set if you're buying online. They are going to last ~40-60k miles so the cost is upfront.

That's very true...but thru people trying them is how all those other brands got their reputation from. I'm just looking for more US reviews and not European. And also not be one of few who have tried them....I'll decide end of the week on which to go for if I can't get enough reviews.

They're made by Continental and sold exclusively by Discount in the US. They're not particularly good at anything other than being cheap. As far as sub-$100 20" tires go, they're probably as good as anything else.

look into NANKANG and Nexxen for cheap 20" tires.

Personally, I'd be spending whatever the cost is for something that is much safer than what was already on the car. 1-2ft in stopping distance due to tires is a huge distance when considering you could hit a kid or a person very easily these days

I mean, I just spent ~$220 per tire for the Continental DWS06 245/40/19. I'll give you a thumbs up to be a guinea pig, I wouldn't buy them though.

$88 for a 255/35/20 seems like they're cutting corners somewhere...
