19"x??width?

Question 19"x??width?

What whould be the width of the rim for 19" Rims if i dont want rubbing ...for my 2009 Acura TL black..lol

If you don't lower your car, you can do a 10" width. If you do drop your car, I think you can get away with a 9" width, with a moderate drop.

But a 19x8.5 will do you just fine.

*All this is dependent upon your offsets and tire size, of course!

A lot of people think that lowering will cause rubbing, but it actually solves the problem
of rubbing. When you lower the car, the wheels tilt inwards and usually tug right inside the fender wall. Also, the stock FWD suspension is so soft, the car will bounce right into
the wheels.

If you want wide wheels and camber correction, then you would need a wide
body kit. When the wheels tilt inwards, the tires wear out a bit faster, but it
beats having your car slam into your wheels.

Yes if you use the eibach springs, with 20x8.5, with a +29 offset you will rub. If you have people in the back seat its noticable, with no one else in the car its rare. It only happenes when going over hills or bumps, and for me only on the back passenger side. I am going to get my venders rolled, as its just barely hitting the inner fender lip. This is with negative camber of about -2.5 in the rear. IMO a camber kit would push the wheel back towards the inner lip and create more rubbing issues. However, with a adjustable kit you could dial the negative camber in close to spec, while still maintaining some neg camber to avoid the fender lip. I have read heeltoe's camber article, so at this point I have just set the toe to spec and am leaving the neg camber.

Would you have the rubbing issues if it wasn't dropped, let's say still stock height and those rims and tires?

No I dont think I would, it just barely touches when going over big dips or hills. If I drive 50 miles, it might happen 1 time with no one in the car. If someone is in the back its more frequent.
