'14 SH AWD center bore & hubcentric spacers...
Hey Guys. First post on acurazine! Just took delivery of a 14 SH AWD with Tech (Canadian version)
I'm back to the Acura family after a 9 year absence! Owned a 3.2TL Type-S back in 03 and loved the car... Since then, moved all over the place from BMW to Audi, to Lexus now back to a TL
Question is: I'm not in love with the 18s wheels the car came with and would like to upgrade to 19s or possibly 20s next summer... problem is, I'd like to keep a relatively stock look but I can't find a single wheel made by Acura/Honda that I like on that particular car...
So first, I need to get correct specs of the OEM wheels including offset and center bore... I've been seeing mixed numbers so if any of you have a definitive answer on the SH AWD version, that would be appreciated.
Second, I'm drooling over these wheels from Lexus and I'm wondering if they could work on the TL, given that I'll definitely put spacers on the car (possibly 15F and 20R)... So adapter rings might be needed.... Don't don't if they'll work with the spacers etc. Again, depending on the offset of the new wheels, I might not need any spacers at all....
Any help is welcomed. Thx!
I understand that 18 X 8, offset 55 is the correct wheel specs for mine. (Correct me if I'm wrong) Just missing the center bore....
Wait? wheel-size.com states that the 14 AWD version use 18 X 9 wheels, with 42 offset !
Don't know who I should trust now!

The stock wheel specs are 18x8 +55 on 245/45/18 and the center bore is 64.1. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm on the same boat. Been wheel hunting since I got my '14 SH awd. Hard to find nice wheels I love in 5x120.

Thx for the info.
I really like these wheels. They use the same bolt patern, you can get them with a proper offset but they have a 74.1 hub bore.... Now I'm wondering if we can actually use a ring to go from 64.1 to 74.1? (wasn't it the other way around?, you can go smaller but never bigger?) Can't remember....

You can always convert down with your centerbore never up. So if you find a wheel with a centerbore below 64.1 it won't work, one's at 64.1mm or higher and it's all gravy assuming the bolt pattern is 5x120 and the offset isn't too extreme.

Got it. Unfortunately, I can only find the BMW M wheel in 20 X 10 which is a little too extreme... I think 19 X 8.5 would work just fine. Maybe 20 X 9 too...
Anyone know the specs on these OEM wheels? I know they're 20s but I'm curious to know the width and offset.... I saw a TL in the showroom with those when I bought mine and the stance was spot on with the more aggressive offset.

Been looking non stop for a set rims that would fit and give the car the stance and the "stock" look I want... It's hard!
But I thing I've found a winner. BMW M6 Grand Coupe rims, in 19X8.5 - ET37
Did a couple quick photophop on these on a white 4G TL and I like it... We'll see what happen.

Great job on the photo shop. Which Photoshop program are you using? The M6 wheels look pretty aggressive on the TL compared to the 3 series. Both are great choices for sticking to factory wheels.

Hi guys, I'm pretty curious...do spacers make any difference to the driving dynamics if the vehicle has AWD?
On my 3g TL, i had spacers on the rear wheels, none on the front. I want to do the same thing with my '12 SH-AWD, but I am concerned if it may cause issues with the rear wheels in terms of functionality.
Any thresholds or limits I should be aware of, if i do go that route?
Thanks,
