VSA error, how to get rid of?

2013 Acura TL, FWD with Tech Package, 97K miles. A few mornings ago started car and both ABS and VSA came on and stayed on. Took vehicle to local auto parts and code was front left wheel speed sensor. I replaced the wheel sensor and that solved the ABS issue, that light is now off, but VSA remains on. Old youtube video from a TSX indicated to short pin 9 to ground but that made no difference by turning the VSA button on/off. Next I disconnected negative battery cable for 20 minutes, made no difference either. I assume I will need to take it back to auto parts store and ask them to clear the fault/light for the VSA? I also verified the fusible links for the VSA/ABS was not blown too. However I haven't check any fuses that may be inside the car related to VSA, I'll go check that today.

Anyone have any suggestions? Tks!

Well light went out on it’s own today after a couple stops and restarts. Weird but I’ll take it. Must be like the check fuel cap erro. Takes a few trips to get rid of the error.

Grandlaker,

I had the same issue with my 2012 Tl. Some critter chewed one of the rear speed sensors. I replaced and the ABS light goes away immediately. The VSA took ~20 miles of driving to clear. This was two years ago and the problem has not come back. You should be good.

After closer inspection the wires were chewed thru on mine as well. Visited my daughter in Texas over the holidays and their home is near open field and they routinely have mice/rats outside their home. The night before car did not have the issue, it was cold and raining out that night, parked it outside and next morning I immediately had the lights on with the failure. So I know it wasn't a rock or something when driving that cut those wires so concluded some varmint did the damage. Nice to know it did not fail on it's own. Heck I have a 2001 Acura TL with over 300K miles and not had one wheel speed sensor fail on it so I was surprised the 2013 had one that failed.
