Transmission Oil Filter Location?

Hey all, my mother drives a 2012 Acura TL FWD and it has about 50k miles.

I think it is about time I replaced the trans fluid.
I called the dealer and got the following part # for the transmission oil filter

25430-plr-003

I was trying to find diagrams online to figure out where that goes and I found this

I recently had a surgery and can't get under the car yet to locate it so I was hoping someone might have info or a pic on where to find the filter, so I can be better prepared.

Also everyone on here talks about fluid drains and flushes and what not but nobody ever mentioned the filter ... Has anyone ever changed theirs?

There are a number of posts on this site concerning this filter as it will make a "gurgling" sound if it gets clogged. I just replaced mine. It is replaced from the top, not the bottom. It is located under the battery. I took my battery out to give me enough room to fit my tools and hands down to it. Almost took the battery rack out. If you have the right tool to remove the pinch clips for the hose connections, it makes the job easier. I did mine independent of the transmission oil change which I did shortly after. They can be done together.

Thanks dvd. That's what I wanted to know. So some place around/under the battery.

a pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers is the perfect tool for the clamps

You get to it from the top. Look down the inside-back corner of the battery and you'll see it on top of the trans. There are other threads on this site.
