If you don`t clean and condition your leather from time to time it will eventually dry out and begin to split. You can`t do much about the spot that`s already ripped but you can do something to help stop it from happening in another location.

Use these products:
http://www.eshine.ca/leatherique_rej..._16oz-3121.php

http://www.eshine.ca/leatherique_pre..._16oz-3120.php

Those are the best leather products on the market but make sure you follow the exact instructions on the bottles. The results with this stuff will blow your mind.

Thanks!

I'm going to start cleaning and conditioning my leather now. But, I was wondering if the dashboard on the TL is leather as well? Or should I use different materials to clean and condition that?

The dash isn't leather, 303 aerospace protectant will give you a great matte finish and also has spf in it to protect your dash from sun damage. You might want to source another online detailer in America though because the Canadian supplier I use is all out of stock right now.

OP, now that your ride is old enough you can find used seats online and at wreck yards. You may want to consider a used replacement.

The great thing about 303 is that it's safe for just about any surface including leather, so you can detail your entire door panels with it. It works well on tires too.

You should condition your leather about every 6 months.

I went to Michaels and got some of their leather glue. then glued a backing inside of the leather by stuffing it into the rip and spreading it out. Once that glue dried i glued the ripped part down to the backing... once dried it looked good and the rip was stopped
