TL 2013 Front doors alignment ?
TL 2013 Front doors alignment ?
Got 2013 TL and was so exited during delivery time that missed this problem. It is not big deal and I am not a perfectionist, but it makes me crazy to see front doors are not aligned with the rear doors on the 45K car.
the difference is ~ 2/8" and it is very visible.
When to dealership >>> Service Manager looked on the car >>> looked on my like I am alien
and said:" we will try to fix it during the first oil change."
Looks like nobody nobody complained (to this dealership) about this problem. Looking now on the many newest TLs on the road, I see it on the many, many TLs.
The problem here, I am not sure that doors alignment should be done by mechanic, which never done this job.
It should be done by body man, but non of the dealership in Toronto (Canada) has these service.
not sure that I should ask dealership to fix it...
any advice?
Thanks

Damn, that would bother the hell out of me too. I would take it to a reputable body shop and get their opinion. Maybe it's a simple job that can be done by the dealership. Maybe even google it to see what the process involves.
Good luck!
Good luck!
My 09 Tl has the same issue but with a lesser extent (1/8"). I can not believe that Acura has not done anything to address the alignment issue in 5 years.
A quarter inch is a lot. Hopefully, they can fix yours in the next service.

Same on mine (passenger side) but to me, I prefer dealing with that small gap difference and risk having them make things worst and then deal with wind noise etc. To me, seeing that this is still occurring on a 2013 (as with some of the other issues) shows that buying a car at the end of the last year of its life cycle does not mean they will solve all its problems. For example, on the 2013 RDX, the problem with the first year of their rear suspension and its been raised enough that Acura is working on a solution and its imminent from what I heard/read.
