Quick question folks, I currently have a 07 TL Type-S NBP and I have noticed a lot of scratches on the inside of my windows on the film. For those of you that own a 2010 TL, does this problem exist for you? Just want to know because I am considering purchasing a 2010 TL SH-AWD. Thanks

 

Did you install moleskin on the inside of your windows when you installed the tint? If you didn't that is why you've got scratches. On the 2009/2010 versions they brought back the moleskin inside the window, so my tint guy didn't need to install it.

So to answer your question, no scratches yet, but I never got any with my 07 TL-S either.

 

Yeah, same here. I took the doors apart and put the moleskin(felt) on my 2006 and never had any scratches. I can see the felt on the rubber that touches the window on my 2010, so you shouldn't have any problems. Unless you get a bunch of dirt in the felt of course.

 

Yea, the 3G was terrible with tint scratching... even with the dealership installed felt, mine got scratched on my type-s

 

I thought they would have resolved this issue on the 4G.

 

My 3G TL has scratches on all four side windows.

Use moleskin. I did on mine and not a single scratch

 

I had my 2010 TL SH-AWD windows tinted and have not seen any scratches yet. I've had the tint for just over a month...hopefully Acura has solved this issue on the 4G TL's.

 

I had my 09 TL SH-AWD tinted 6 months ago, and no scratches whatsoever.

 

Yea they fixed it on the newer versions, but the old ones you just needed to install moleskin to do it... it comes "free" now.
