Thumbs down Timing belt replacement

I have a 2000 TL with 80K miles and have been told to replace the timing belt since it is 9 years old. One garage has suggested changing the oil seals, tensioner and idler bearing while doing the belt and water pump. Another says they inspect these other items and recommend replacement if needed. We're talking an extra $350 bucks here so any ideas on the best approach?

This forum is for the 2009 and later TL model. You'll want to post this in the 2G TL forum.
