Throttle vs Trans Adjustment
Throttle vs Trans Adjustment
Hi all,
I've pretty much given up hope of getting any improvement to the transmission quality on my '10 AWD TL Tech. However, does the dealer have the ability to adjust the throttle in some way that would compensate for the lousy shifting?
If not, is there any after-market way to adjust the shift points or can the transmission be left in the "learn" mode permanently?
Thanks!

The short answer to your questions is no.
I am not even going to ask if it shifts late or early. A lot of "lousy" stuff can be fixed with a transmission oil change, or two-three back to back. So do that and see if things improved.
By the way, there are ways to "tune" the solenoid valves that control the various gears (and visible/accessible from the outside of the transmission), but most of the times people change those to new instead of bothering to adjust them.
Hope that helps.
