Synthetic oil

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what the best synthetic oil I can put in my 2011 3.7 TL. I heard 5w-20 Mobil synthetic is good, are there any others? Thanks

the best synthetic oil is redline 5w-30 with a HTHS rate of 4%

mobil1 synthetic HTHS rate ranges from 2.9-3.9% depending on what oil.

Yeah, as long as you're under warranty use 5w-20. I use Mobil 1.

u can also use 0w20 in harsh winter time and 5w20 otherwise

i use castrol or mobile 1 which ever goes on sale
and mobil one filter
usually these things go on sale once every 3 months
buy them that time and take your car to honda dealership they will charge you like $10-11 for oil change + inspection
acura charge like 30 if you take in your own oil and filter
you can do it yourself but Its better to have maintenance history for future sale etc

devils advocate here...

is the dealer really gonna tear down your engine and send a sample of your oil to determine if you're using the correct weight?
no.

plus, a 0w-20 would be the same weight as a 5w-20 at operating temps.
