SVC Sound Problem

During a long drive a couple weeks back, my stereo sound would cut in and out, no matter what input I used. After toying around a bit and turning off the SVC (Speed-sensitive Volume Compensation) the problem went away. Has anyone else experienced this?

Negative, I know XM cuts in and out with blocking line of sight, but if the HDD or CD/DVD-A source does that it's something wrong for sure. The SVC is just an attenuating sensor, the signal should not completely drop.
