Subwoofer speaker cover rattle
Has anyone had this? The speaker cover itself seems to be rattling.
I've searched and found people say the brake light or the service bulletin about the rattling from the trunk but I think this is different
In the video, you can see when I put my hand on it, the rattling stops. So has anyone else had this? How would I take it apart and fix it or should I just take it to the dealership.

Hey guys. I've had all types of rattling in my 2010 tl, I found a simple fix to most of them, I took my car to acura numerous times for all types of noises, roof rattle, driver and passenger door rattle, rear deck rattlee, they put foam in the rear, lasted 2 weeks and they broke the clips that hold it near the glass, I worked for acura as a tech and I will nvr take it back where I took it, I just didn't feel like fixing it myself till finally I was fed up, so I took the rear deck lid off and took all 3 speakers off, I actually dynomated the area where the speakers sit, just the speakers not the whole deck and poof rattle gone! I dynomate both doors and rattle gone also, the only one I have left is my roof rattle but not as loud thank god lol, hope this helps

I had a similar problem with my 2012 TL after 1 month of owning it. Ended up taking it back to the dealership and the problem was resolved. Since then the rattling noise has stopped *knock on wood*

They said they will need 2-3 days to do it... apparently they plan on taking out the back seat and insulating the shit out of everything. Doing it under warranty, which is nice! I will update after I pick it up.

yeah, the dealer had my car for 2 days fixing minor things and waiting for parts (blown speaker, resealing a couple tires which were slowly losing pressure)... but did not get to fixing this yet.

Did you end up getting your TL fixed?

Sure did. I just got it back on Friday. Had an enjoyable weekend with lots of nice drives.
ZERO rattling from the trunk, so it sounds great. I can listen to music at whatever volume my heart desires. There is slight rattle from the door panels though at certain frequencies/songs... I may have to tackle that myself.
Anyone ever put in foam padding of some sort to prevent rattling in door speakers?
My audio settings:
Bass @ level 0
Treble @ level 0
Fade @ Rear 1
Balance @ 0
Center @ +1
Subwoofer @ 0

Has anyone added padding/insulation to the front and rear doors to reduce rattle? Any tips appreciated!
