Unhappy Stiff Steering, No EPS indicator on

I have a problem with my 2010 TL, I replaced the shocks and i was driving home from the mechanic when i suddenly noticed an intermittent difficulty and stiffness in turning or trying to swerve towards the right.
i returned to the mechanic to check things out, no indicator light was on to say i had an EPS problem, I also took out the module from under the glove compartment to confirm the ECU still reads error from there which checks out fine. Torque sensor is the next culprit to check, can anybody advise how to troubleshoot this problem without going through the rigor of bringing down the steering rack to access the torque sensor and what best are my options to eliminate this problem as soon as possible?

Sounds like something is binding. Check the suspension work and make sure all the front end bolts are secured! Did you lower the car at all?

Thanks. Am going to have the guy working on it to troubleshoot the suspension system again today. Maybe removing the shocks and trying the steering systems again while off the ground.
