Squeeling noise from Wheel
So my car has about 30,000km (18,600 miles), i've done all my service, had the B12 service which was the brake service. Now i've noticed a squeeling noise. Sounds like when the brake pads are worn to the warning tabs. However, on my last service, i still had 90% left on the brakes. Could it be the brakes? Or could it be a wheel bearing? Any ideas? Anyways, i've got an appointment for a tech to drive it at noon today.

does its squeal while driving, or breaking?
Acura OEM brake pads (except for the Brembos and 2G RL brakes) have a life expectancy of like 40k-70k depending on how you drive.
I would imagine the 4G SH-AWD will be a little less (maybe 35k-50k) because of the larger rotors & heavier car.

^Sad news. I guess we will put that in the budget for next year as I kiss the fond memories of the long lasting Accord parts goodbye.

Well Guys..........back from the dealer, and guess what it's not the brakes. Tech went for a drive with me, and the noise is while the car is driving. Nothing to do with brakes. It turns out, my car needs a new Propeller Shaft. $1100 part. Under warranty of course. But a little concerning. As stated, car only has 30,000km or 18,000 miles. It's been plagued by rattles, which is also on the repair order. And now this. My Altima SE-R had 160,000km and the only repairs i ever did was a wheel bearing and Timing Chain, both right at about the 160,000km mark. Never anything under warranty. I would expect more from a $45,000 car!

So thought that squeeling was from my brakes. Nope. Propeller Shaft is a gonner at only 30,000km (18,000miles).$1100 part, warranty covered thank god. WTF.............from Rattles to this. My Altima SE-R had 160,000km on it with only a Timing Chain and wheel bearing replaced at 150,000km. Am i the only Unlucky one?

That is unfortunate to hear but this appears to be a very common problem on SH-AWD models. If you do some reasearch here or on other sites you will see. There are lots of threads on this in the RL section.
I have actually considered looking at a used RL mainly because they dont hold their value well and you can get some really good used ones for a cheap price. This propeller shaft issue is one i wouldnt want to have outside of warrenty. I believe its actually much more expensive on the RL because its carbon fiber (not sure about the 4G TL).
If you do some reasearch outside of Acura sites there are people that still question the long term reliabilty of SH-AWD. Its a great AWD system but it is extremely complex and has only been around for 5-6 years.
