Smart key not responding

My driver one smart key suddenly stopped responding to my car today. It was working perfectly fine the other day. If I used the door handle lock and unlock, then it works fine but when I press the keys on the button, nothing happens. I replaced the battery and nothing changed however I realized that the red light just stays solid for a few seconds and the car randomly unlocks sometimes. Could it be the board?

Dumb question, but does your #2 key work OK. If so, obviously, you can at least isolate the problem to the number 1 key.

Did it get wet recently? I've also heard that placing them near magnets or electronic devices emitting EMF can make them "dizzy."

Yes my key 2 works perfectly fine. I don't think my key 1 has been wet that I know of either.

the key battery or the car battery? I have replaced the key battery with a brand new battery just to clarify.

Yeah I put in a new battery and still the same thing. I'm thinking I might have to get the dealer reprogram my remotes. I hope it's not too much
