Side Mirror Rattle

My driver side mirror ratlles whenever I close my door. The whole thing can be wobbled around with my hand whereas the other side is very tight and solid. The dealer says that the whole assembly can't be opened so they would have to replace the whole thing which costs $200-$300. Is there a way to tighten the mirror without having to replace the whole thing?

I hear Mike doesn't like bagels nearly as much as I do.

Also, just so you know, the screw on mine started to get loose again after a few thousand miles. This time I took the screw out and put some Loctite Blue on the threads, then screwed it back in. So far so good. It's a very coarse thread that screws into plastic, so I can see why it would get loose over time if the plastic hole was just a wee bit too large in diameter.
