Self diagnostic mode help

Greetings, my 08 TL just started going into self diagnostic mode every time I start the car, end up showing red "HFL" and "NG". And then getting stuck on the screen.

Anyone know how to fix or disable this screen from coming up? All input will be greatly appreciated.

I actually just bought the car not up to a month now, besides this issue everything runs well, warranty company said navi system is not covered.

Thanks

FRUSTRATED!!

After taking mine to dealership and was told to replace the Navi system below. I did research online and the steps below solved my issue.

Hold down the buttons (Menu+Map/Guidef Cancel) for about 5 seconds (the "Select Diagnosis Items" screen will appear). Hold down the Map/Guide button for 5- 10 seconds (A screen with a "Complete" button, will appear). Touch "Complete," and then the "Return" button (the system may re-boot). Restart the vehicle, and confirm normal operation.

Let me know if this work for you.

Thanx for the info. Gave it a try. Everything worked as you described but did not solve the problem. Shut the engine off and restarted - back to diagnostic screen!!!

I checked mine and the "complete" was grayed out. I would check again and see if it changed back to incomplete. Also mine started because I was messing with the navigation CD, I would try using a different disc if you have one and then try those steps again. Good luck!

Has anyone had success with this?

Every start up mine goes directly into self diagnosis mode. I hold the Map, Menu and Cancel buttons at the same time and it goes away but comes back up when starting.

Thanks
