Almost a year later, and mine still look almost that good! The paint really helped, I don't know why Acura themselves just didn't start coating the rotors with a better paint straight from the factory, instead of having to pay for all the dealers to do it.

im just wondering, if all of you guys are having your rotors painted, why didnt you just go ahead and have the same Heat resistant paint applied to the caliper covers, that would look great. Since the 18 inch rims are so open, i thought about doing that anyways, might as well do it when they have the wheels off, right?

Well they painted mine silver/gray so painting the caliper cover won't make them that much better. Also, the painting is covered by warranty. I doubt they will paint anything else beyond that and not charge you.

I'm thinking that Acura underestimated the corrosion properties of whatever paint/metal they used. I had all 4 rotors replaced with the new 2010 rotors, courtesy of acura, in April. They look awsome still. However, I was at the dealer yesterday for an oil change and noticed that some of the cars on the lot had rust while others did not.

Are any of you getting rotors replaced? I only know of two in this forum that have had acura do this. Both of us are in Canada.

Mine is a 2010 ive had it for 1 month. I got about 2 inches of rust around the inner edge of the rotor, near the hub. Im not looking forward to going in there to discuss this, im sure they will act like, rust on a rotor, big deal! But i hope not.

Does this still hold true? I have an 09 CPO TL, would they still honor this?

I bought a 2012 TL SHAWD and the rotors are racked with Rust. How on earth are you guys able to get a dealership to remove the rust? The dealerships here in California would laugh at me if i came in and requested they do that. What words or phrasing are you guys using to get this done?

Rust is a part of life when it comes to brakes. Sounds like you bought a TL with some aftermarket drilled rotors. Get some good quality blanks and the rust will look less obvious.
