Rear Windshield Weatherstripping

Hey Everyone,

So Winter is soon ending and I have come across a problem located on the LH and RH side of the rear windshield. So I have noticed through scraping my rear window that there are thin lines of rubber that line 2 body coloured pieces on the LH and RH sides. These have come loose and are not sticking to the sides anymore.

Has anyone had this problem? Is it a problem? I would assume that it seals the two body pieces from water. Any fixes? I tried searching the forum but no answer

Please let me know!

The rubber is decomposing due to the sun and age. Mine have turned to black goo. I can"t believe that this would be uncommon. Apparently Honda rubber doesn't hold up over the long term.

crxb is correct. Yes that rubber between the window and the trim. Don't know if I should get it replaced or leave it alone.

better safe than sorry right? I have the same thing occurring to the rubber on my 09 3.5 base and intend to replace that along with the ones that run along the chrome lining on the roof. every so many yrs it starts to graduaply pull itself back.
