Rear Window Weather Trim??

Hey Everyone,

From the ice scraping in the winter the rear window weather trim has come off. Now when driving at highway speeds I hear the pieces of rubber flapping and hitting the window.

Anyone know if I need these? Maybe a repair? See the attached picture.

yeah, they help seal the window.
you can glue it back. or that's what I would try! probably need some type of adhesive that sticks to glass, or the metal channel or whatever the strip attaches too

Oh okay thanks. Looks like it just sits in that channel between the trim and window. It sure is annoying having the thing flutter in the window and smack the window.

LOL i bet! would annoy me too
try that first...the glue. and if it doesnt work, if it ends up flapping again, you might have to replace that one whole strip.

Windows get replaced ALL the time. I'm not sure what kind of adhesive they use...but would benefit you to find out

I had a similar problem with a different car. I had the windshield replaced and the installer didn't replace the rubber strip at the top of the windshield properly. Only noticed it when it started flapping in the wind. I was able to push it back into place, no glue needed.

Did it work?

I have the exact problem with my '12 TL. I was scraping ice over winter and it came loose. I believe it's loose on both sides. I tried pushing it back but seems it won't stay. I just have issues with the blowers at the car wash, so far.
