Hey all I just purchased a 2010 Acura TL Sh-AWD and I went to the back seat to try and put down the headrests but I noticed something was weird about them because no matter what I did I couldn't get them to go down. Then I googled for an answer and as it turns out there's supposed to be buttons there that are completely missing from my car. So I figured "oh yeah a little plastic button? What like $5 from the dealership?" I called up my local Honda dealership for them to tell me it's $100 for one button!!! Wtf are you smoking Honda?!?! So my question is, does anyone know how to put the rear headrests down without those $100 buttons?
Whoa, sorry I posted without even checking the price. I bought mine from Acura Parts for Less but it's also showing $75+ for the button now. I bought mine in April 2017 for 3.72 + shipping.

I'd also check your local craigslist for someone parting out a wrecked one, they'd probably sell you the headrest or the button for next to nothing
Wow it's funny how I could buy the entire headrest cheaper than the button! Thank you for finding this for me though but I'm pretty cheap and I wish there was a way to put them down without that stupid button. Damn I really wish they still sold them for $3 though. I'll do what you said and poke around craigslist for one though.

Awesome thanks, if I have to end up going to a junk yard this is good to know.
Alright update time, so basically I got the seats to go down without buying a button... Previously I had tried to use one of my house keys to stick in the button-less hole which didn't end up working. This weekend I took out my toolkit and decided eh what the hell let me try using a socket extender to stick in there since it's longer. Well, it worked and it worked for free. So for anyone else like me who tried using their key, don't and use something longer.
ugh
A small screw driver and a pair of reading glasses and a good flashlight will also do the trick. There is a slot that the flat head screwdriver will fit into that will release the catch. $80.00 for a button is ridiculous. And none of the TSB link work anymore. Thanks Honda.
