Rattle from front left

Hey guys, I have a 2010 Tl SH AWD and I'm getting a rattle when going over uneven surfaces or bumps. I took it to the dealer and they can't hear anything but I hear it when the window is down or in in a garage. They look at the sway bar end links and bushings and said everything looks good. It's driving me crazy

Probably the end link. Cheap to buy and easy to replace.

I looked at it and I don't see any play or movement in it. Could it still need to be changed?

I didn't see any play but changed mine anyway because of milage. It made a difference. I went aftermarket Moog because they were stronger. Next step for me is new shocks. My car has 86,000 mile.

Not sure if you had any rattles but did it go away?

Hey CBryce is it distinctively coming from the front left? While going straight? Could be bad strut mount, links, broken spring at the bottom, engine mount etc. Obviously something isn't right or a competent mechanic didn't check it out. How many kilometers?

Some have reported rattling of the plastic engine cover panels as the snap fasteners lose their tension. Try removing them and see if the noise goes away.

Funny you said that because I removed the plastic cover for the for and nope rattle still there. They looked at everything and said you don't see anything. Acura did say they saw a little play from the front left tie rod but another shop said it was fine and they didn't see any play. It's frustrating. Would a failing tie rod cause a rattle on rough or uneven surfaces?

Do you have access to a jack Cbryce?

I can tell you how to check for play in outer tie rod. And yes if the inner part of the outer tie rod is seperating inside and is bad enough it can clunk. Just because you looked at the end links doesn't mean there isn't something wrong with them. You have to check for play in the links. Inside the actual rubber the joint can be worn out. Usually have to check the car under load with a pry bar or by hand.

I will have to ask them to check again but they said there wasn't any play at the other shop I took it too. It's not a clunk but rattle

So there is a loose stainless steel piece in the back of rotor. Once the rear left rotor is off that piece is loose and it's toward the bottom part of the rotor. Think it's part of the handbrake application but not certain but it's lose and rattling around. Is that suppose to be that way?

I've been getting a rattling sound ever since I got the car in 2013. Almost like a plastic rattling sound. Always figured it was something in the between the door panel or something.
