2012 TL Transmission Woes
2012 TL Transmission Woes
I am in a bit of a crazy situation, and I hope you guys can help me.
I purchased a 2012 Acura TL base model in the end of March 2015. 29,000 miles on it, one owner. It now has 45,500+ miles on it, and within that time I have had a torque converter replaced (two months after I purchased the car), the transmission filter replaced (just after the torque converter), the front bumper repainted because of peeling paint, and not one..but two new transmissions put in. (The 2nd new transmission is being put in next week...after I just got a new one put in 4 weeks ago.)
All this work has been done by an Acura dealership under warranty. Unfortunately, my manufacturers warranty is up next month...and I am terrified this car will throw more issues at me.
I still owe over $10k on the car, and because of the airbag recall on my vehicle, a number of dealerships are offer me a low trade-in offer ($12,000).
So my question is: Would you keep this car and hope for the best? Or trade-in at a huge loss? Or any other options? Any help or input is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
