So I went to put some swithcback turn signals in while putting on my new grille today. To fix the hyperflash used load resistors. I tested it out on the passenger side and it worked fine. Then I taped it all up and tested it again and had an issue... The turn signal works (yellow) but the running light (white LED) does not work. I tried the stock bulb and it still did not work. I had somewhere to go so I put everything back together and left it for another day. On my way home tonight, I discovered that the lights on the buttons on the steering wheel and whole dashboard lights are also out... The buttons function properly but do not illuminate. It is strange to me that only one of the running lights does not work because the driver side light works perfectly fine. I need to fix this ASAP. Any ideas on where to start looking? Thanks!
did you go over all your wiring that you tampered with and checked all your fuses does the interior dome lights work? Ive never installed switch back on the the tl but done so in the past on my old accord with no back fire or lost of electricity.. check the fuse and good luck keep us updated
The only thing that I can think is an issue with the mciu. Similar to people who have shorted out their fuse boxes when changing the puddle lights, I think somehow you caused a ripple effect and have this issue.
If your car is under warranty, I'd try to hide any "light" mods you did and just let them take care of it. If you did fry your fuse box, I think its about $900 per side to replace at the dealership

Just blew one of the fuses. No worries everything is back to normal. Thanks for the help!
