Is there anyway to get the car to lock with the engine on if I take the fob with me. Every time I try to lock the door with the engine on, it unlocks. I asked the acura dealer, but they didn't know if it was possible.

 

I think you can try to lock the door with the key on the driver side... haven't tried it before.

 

Probably only manually...like, open door and press lock and then close it. The fob probably has a safety feature to prevent you from locking the car while on.

 

It can only be done with the key. You need to take the key out of the fob and lock it with the key in the door. You can't lock the door with the key fob buttons if the engine is running and you can't lock the door using the interior lock/unlock button if the engine is running and the door is open.
