I guess I will takes this into the dealer since I still have the warranty remaining, but recently both my keyless entry remotes do not work 50% of the time when trying to open the door via my hands. I then have to pull out my keys and hit the open button on the remote several times before the red light even comes on then the car opens. Same thing when I try to lock the car. Is this just bad remotes (and yes new batteries in both) or is it the car having problems??

The batteries have been replaced twice. The problem is with the remotes it seems, because when they don't work when I try to unlock/open/lock the car via my hands, I have to pull out the remotes and hit the lock or unlock button several times before even the little LED lights up on the remotes. I can't take it in for 2 weeks, so asking if this was a common problems to other TL owners.

 

I had the same issue. Replaced the battery, and it didn't help. Then I went and picked up a "good" battery Duracell 2032, I think. Once I installed that it seemed to fix the problem. So if you replaced your battery with a generic battery, try picking up a good battery. (just a thought).

 

Ok, I will give that one last try. Both the new batteries I bought at Batteries Plus at two different occasions. And, I have never gotten a low battery warning from the TL.

I have had a similar issue but it was intermittent. I would unlock but not lock by using the door handle/black button. It almost has be be repeatable before a dealer will look at it.

One thing about the 'locking' part on the passenger side, you must unlock all the doors before hitting the black button.

 

I ordered the Duracell. Anyways, this is annoying and one other thing I noticed is that it happens the most during cold weather/mornings. Warmer days it seems to work fine. If the new battery does not fix it, it is going to the dealer since my full warranty is still in effect.
