Recently, the keyless entry (where you place your hand in the door handle and the doors unlock) stopped working. I can unlock the doors by pressing the unlock button on the remote but upon entering there vehicle, the display says "Insert keyless remote into slot" and the car won't start unless I insert the key fob.

I changed the battery on the key fob and got the same result. I have a 2013 TL Advance with 74,000 km. Any ideas?

 

Problem solved. The keyless access system switch in the glove compartment was switched off for whatever reason.
