How to turn off the VSA ?
Maybe it sounds stupid ,but these days when we got first snow storm I realised that I cannot turn off the VSA.
I read the manual where is saying to push and hold the VSA OFF button up to hear a beep. I did it and no beep and no VSA OFF light on the dash.
I'm wondering if is something wrong . The VSA itself seems to work fine when I tried some slides on the snow.
Is the fact that I installed the winter wheels without pressure sensors affecting the VSA functionality ?
Thx.

Yeah to turn off VSA you just have to hold the button until you hear a beep. After that you'll see the orange VSA icon (a car with swerve marks behind it) and this indicates that it's off. I'm not 100% sure about winter wheels affecting VSA functionality, but I do remember reading a thread somewhere about certain tires affecting whether you can turn off VSA. Hope that helps.

Oh yeah if you're getting a TPMS warning then that's most likely what's causing the problem. I haven't experienced this myself but I DEFINITELY remember reading the about the same exact issue. If you put your stock tires back on, then you SHOULD be able to turn off VSA (if you have spare time you can try this to verify that nothing is actually "wrong").
Yes it's happening because of the winter tires. My car does the same thing. The TPMS is on so I just hit the reset button to get rid of it, but the little tire icon stays on because I did not get the tire the TP monitors when I got the snows.
The VSA will work when you put your summer tires back on. No worries.

Sorry to dig up a very old thread but I'm experiencing issues with the VSA on my 2007 Acura TL. Intermittently the VSA will activate and car will have no power to accelerate. This can obviously be a little dangerous depending on traffic conditions. Holding down the VSA button puts an orange triangle with an exclamation point on the dash cluster but it doesn't disable the VSA because it can still kick in. Can I unplug that VSA module and "fix" this problem? Is there a cheap solution to this issue? Car is old now with over 300K km on it so dumping lots of money into it isn't a wise move.
