How to turn off beeping noise when exiting the 4th gen. TL with engine on???

Hey I'm not sure if anyone has the same problem. My 2010 TL makes several loud beeping noises when opening the door and exiting the car with the key fob while the engine is on. Any suggestions on how to turn off this feature??? A real pain the ass when coming home late and moving around the cars in the driveway lol.

IIRC, if the door is partially closed then there is no beeping sound.

^ If you leave the door open there shouldn't be a beep. The beep is to warn you that you are leaving the car while it is still running and if you closed the door you may have forgotten to shut the car off. I don't think there's a way to disable this safety feature

Another AZ member posted that this "beep" could be turned down (so you don't wake the neighbors when you get out of the car to shut the garage door at 6AM). I think they said you could find it in the MID under security settings, or something to that effect. I've been too lazy to look for it. Do a search.

It is listed in the owners manual to turn it down and you can turn off the system with the switch in the glove box.

All cars with push button starts have this feature. The car trying to warn you that you are leaving the car running with no key fobs inside.

This is a safety feature since the car does not need a physical key in the ignition to stay on. I guess it's your choice if you want it on or off. I personally like it one.
