How to solder harness connector with barely any wire left?
Some rodent chewed on a wiring harness in my '08 Lexus GX470. I was thinking I can just solder it back together but the connector barely has any wire left. Any ideas?
You may have two options. Regardless of which option you choose, you need to remove the pins from the connector by depining the connector and then...
1. Try to solder it to the existing pins if there's enough wire left.
2. Buy replacement pins from the dealer and crimp or solder it to existing wire loom.

Uncrimping those terminals is a pain in the taint, at best.
It's a few cents for replacements; shipping will be more than the parts, but what can you do? I *think* these are the right parts but you should verify with some measurements, if possible:

You can get a full replacement on amazon for a few bucks. Just search for what harness you have. For example a H11 bulb search "H11 Harness" and you'll get this: https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-84783-.../dp/B003SYWZTE
Then just splice back the original cables and connect the new harness and you're good to go. Make sure you use a good connection. I'd suggest a good heat-shrink crimp filled w/ some dielectric grease.
**EDIT**
Looked up the part number, that's a fuel injector harness. Ebay the part: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-x-Toyota-F...lU4sKe&vxp=mtr
