High Revs

High Revs
I've 2010 Acura TL, recently got torque converter and transmission changed because of whining noise between 35 and 60 mph. After the transmission change, the Revs jump unusually high when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear by 2000 rpm.
Dealer says it is normal. This happens more on the first run of the day, though it doesn't completely go away. I never had this problem from the day 1 of the car.

Are you saying that your car revs 2000 RPM higher prior to shifting? That may be OK as they may have reprogrammed your transmission to stay in the lower gear longer. That is what the recall does to reduce stress on the torque converter.
However, if the revs are jumping during the shift, that's not normal. It should steadily rise until the shift at which point it should drop as you go to the higher gear.
