the problem is that you do not put hid as drl...
hid kits are made to run at full power.. drl run at little less then half, thus will cause electrical problems through out your car in the long run..
led or halogens as drl, and fogs can be hid..
you should not run hid bulbs as drl, im sure everyone here can agree with me.

oh thats cool but i will get a ticket here in canada its a law to have drl.... so maybe with the harness that takes the power from the battery for the hid kit i will not loose my drl! and i went with hid for drl because its the same bulb for high beam and the led bulb are not strong enough to be used like high beam if im not mistaking!
Check out the laws in your province. There is some misunderstanding about the DRL requirement since part of the regulations are federal and most of the laws the police enforce on the roads are provincial. I am not saying you don't need them (they are a proven fact for increased safety) but there are plenty of newer cars running around in Ont. without them, with no apparent hassles.
I used a HID harness relay on my LED drl's before, but the problem is the relay on the harness. It would still not turn on since the stock high/DRL harness is only putting out around 6 volts, so that would not be enough to trigger/activate the relay. It would work if you have the high beams on since it sends 12+ volts.
Also expect to be flashed a lot from oncoming traffic. I know I would do that since it irritates the shit out of me.

Again...

the harness you got wasn't connected to the battery?
flashed? during the day I don't think so...
It's a HID harness... Where else would it be connected to? You buy the harness to get power from the battery vs the stock bulb harness/connectors. Try it out and see. In my case, it didn't work since the relay wasn't getting enough volts to trigger from the drl mode.

just gonna make my life easier and go with the led bulb
thank you!
