HID Bulb Out

So before being flamed about searching for useful threads..I have. So one of my headlights on my 2010 TL has already burnt out. I have owned many Acuras and never have had a bulb burn out; so just to be safe I had the dealership check it out and they confirmed that it's just the bulb. Now moving on I opted to replace the bulb on my own. I've found a few threads on the topic, however I am torn between using a Stanley or Phillips bulb. Is one better then the other? If so why? My understanding is that the OEM bulb is a 4300k D2S Stanley bulb. Also should I be changing or replacing the ballasts or anything else? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I do not have an answer but just a question. Did you have your headlight setting on the auto feature or did you always turn them on manually?. I think the Phillips are higher in quality

I'm running the Morimoto 6k D2S. Great quality and a cheaper alternative.

Ordered Phillips 4300k bulbs today. Hopefully the install goes smoothly. To those who responded thanks for your feedback.
