Help on diagnosis of vibration at 4k rpm

I'm hoping someone can send me in the proper direction. The car is a 2009 UA8 and just hit 100k. I've noticed during hard acceleration at about 4k rpm and climbing, a vibration that wasn't there before occurs. I'm not sure what to check first but visual inspection of the car does not show any sign of a problem.

The only ideas I had was suspension or maybe engine mounts. But which parts would produce that issue within the suspension components? I'm just not that well experienced in suspension unfortunately. Any help I appreciate it!

Does this problem occur at rpm, or vehicle speed? If the speeds are the same, but in different gears the problem occurs at 4000 rpm, then the suspension has nothing to do with it. Do you have automatic or manual?

Thanks. I have the automatic. It occurs at higher speeds, like 60mph and the vibration seems to start right after 4k rpm when I'm hard on the throttle accelerating. It didn't do that before.

The first thing I would do is check the wheel balance, if the wheels are ok I would remove the propeller shaft and drive it for a test drive without it to make sure its not the problem.

That is a good suggestion because I had wheel rotation about two weeks ago. Maybe they didn't balance them? I'm not surprised. Thanks for your help! I'll check it.

Seek out a shop that has a Hunter Road Force Balance machine, well worth the time and money. Any time I purchase new tires, they always have a minor shimmy until they are Road Force balanced. Hunter website has a search feature that will find this equipment in your area. My local Acura dealer has one, and this is the only reason I will ever use them for service.

Good luck!

Ok sorry it took so long. This turned into a bigger ordeal, but long story short the tires were defective. They are now replaced and the vibration is gone. Thanks for the help guys.

Ok I guess not lol the vibration is almost gone, but I still feel some under hard acceleration.

It seems that it doesn't matter the speed/rpm, if I push hard on the accelerator while I'm already moving, I get that vibration. It's less than it was before the new tires but it's still there and wasn't a few months ago. Thanks in advance.

Oh I forgot to mention there was inner wear discovered on the passenger front tire. That's another clue maybe it is the axle shaft or possibly a ball joint?

Did you get an alignment after the new tires were put on?

Do you feel the vibration when accelerating only (speed increasing) or is it constant even if you are at say 4-5K RPMS at the same speed?

Do you have an SHAWD Model? If yes, when is the last time you replaced the oil in the transfer case? In the rear diff? How's the propellor shaft bearing looking?

Thanks for your reply. I did not get another alignment. The vibration comes on only when accelerating hard like entering a highway. I have the base model. My transmission fluid just changed 3k miles ago.

I decided today to just take it in for diagnosis. They too agree CV axle on passenger side, so that's being replaced and then another alignment. I'll post the results tomorrow when it's finished.

Confirmed bad CV axle on passenger side. They did another alignment too. Car is so smooth now and no vibration at all.

I appreciate everyone's time. Thanks again
