Heater blower

thought I'd start here before bringing it in to get checked out!!!

I have a 2014 TL. It was parked outside from Wednesday until Sunday and it was mighty cold out for most of that time. I was happy that it started with no hesitation yesterday and I drove it straight into the garage to warm up. Now today it seems like the heater blower isn't blowing as much air as it used to. It still works, but not as hard.

Any thoughts or ideas on what the issue might be?

thanks

Are you using the auto climate control mode or manual? Try adjusting the temp and fan in manual mode to see if it makes any difference. In auto mode, it will not start blowing hot air until the engine there is hot air to blow (antifreeze reaches a certain temp).

Perhaps I'm oversimplifying, but that's because I'm unclear on the facts. Do I understand that the car was cold, and the blower was on full, but after you parked in a warm garage, the blower was reduced? This is the way it should be; if the car is already warm, the blower (on auto) doesn't need to work as hard.

One thing to try is to park the car back outside in the cold, and to test the heater blower again first thing in the ice cold morning.
