Hello all,
I have a 2013 SH-AWD Tech and it has silver headlights, and was wondering if 2013's were supposed to come with the area around the lamps (the inside of the housing) painted black. This car was bought back by Acura due to the ATF filter gurgling that they couldn't figure out (and now has a lemon title because of it) and it seems like they had the front end pretty torn apart while they had it - misc. missing parts and whatnot like the outer plastic wind deflectors. I'm wondering if the headlights were swapped or something as I don't think I've seen a 2012+ TL have the light silver inside the headlight. A friend just bought a 2012 Tech which has black inside the headlights. I had a 2009 Base that also had silver. I guess what I'm wondering is if anyone knows the story on this and if it was an option or something or if they were swapped with a 2009-2011's headlights...

Both my 2013 and my friend's 2012 are white, and he has black headlights and I have silver. I have a feeling they're all supposed to be black, but I'm not sure...

Sounds like they were swapped. 2012+ come with black housings.
