Gear box

Hy i have the 2010 TL sh-awd mt6 and i love my car so much, I've been owning since only 2 months, so far it's everything I wanted. I had mazdaspeed3 before and could not be happier to have let go Mazda for Acura.
The only weird thing happened a couple of time now to me and my wife. When we shift normally from second to third gear sometimes it goes back to neutral on it's own. And I don't beat it at all, no need to it goes so perfect without having to beat it up. Someone else experience that before? I will tell next time I do oil change for sure, maybe some guys at the shop beat the car before they sold it used to me. It was for sale for a month before I decided to buy and they put 3000km on the car, maybe they mishift a couple of time I'm thinking. Thanks and by the way I really enjoy this forum, been reading for the last month

first thing to do is to change your manual transmission fluid... use GM/penzoil Synchromesh or BG synchroshift or Royal Purple Synchromax

The car is still under warranty. Third gear pop-out is common in Honda transmissions. Take it to the dealer. If they can replicate it, they will probably replace the gear.

I have the same issue, though it's so few and far between I haven't mentioned anything to my dealer. I can feel when it's not all the way in gear so I generally go into neutral and back into third before releasing the clutch.

Thanks alot for the feedback. That's what I do olso, I feel when it does not go in perfect so I put it neutral and third again, but I was saying to myself that since the box is so perfect in normal time that it could have been beated and that maybe that was I sighn. Yes the car is waranty so I will telle the garage for sure, and I was olso thinking after that to change tranny fluid to synthetic, with additive, I dit the same on the speed3 because in whinter at cold the shifter was so stiff, I put mt-90 with additive and never had problems after that, thanks again guys

^honda guys usually put in the GM syncromesh modified fluid.
that usually takes care of the grind and pop outs
