First 4G TL Problem

I have an issue with my new TL and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. The alarm went off twice today with my car is in my LOCKED garage with the keys in my kitchen key box. I am home alone. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks.

could be that one of your doors are open. or it could be the trunk or even the hood. I know someone in the 2nd gen area was having the same problem and his was going off because his hood was open. May want to check that out first.

I just checked and both the trunk and hood are closed. The service department told me that they had an issue like this with an '07 but nothing like that will the '09. I will keep monitoring it.

I want to keep this thread going so I can note if it happens a lot with the '09s so I can notify my service department. Thanks.

She's just trying to let you know she wants out of the cage, and out onto the street.

Well, not surprising actually...this being the 1st year of the remodel....there's bound to be some "gremlins".....no car is immune to it these days.....when I bought the 1st Bangle-designed 5 series a few years back, I had a "boat-load" of bugs here and there which required the car being in service at least a dozen times.

Pete, this is only one minor glitch that I don't even know its a glitch because I can't duplicate it. So much more about the car makes up for that.

Cool I know what it is....

Do you have a cat? If so, keep it in the dryer where it belongs!! Or in the microwave?

I had the same issue with my wife's Toyota Camry. There was a loose wire on the alarm. It would go off at any time. https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/yes.gif

I know this is an old thread, but I have a similar issue. Recently, after owning my 09 TL SH-AWD for just under 6 months, I have noticed my security system acting odd. I rarely hear the beep when I lock the car (the beep option is on), and instead of my doors locking once when I pass 10mph, they now relock every time I drop below and raise past 10mph. Very annoying. My car alarm randomly goes off without prevocation nowadays. i am concerned and will contact my dealer asap. Anyone else notice an issue like this or have some insight?
