Hi All, reading a lot about failed and / or replaced TC. My car seems sluggish lately , although it could be in my head. For those with TC issues what were the symptoms or warning signs that it was the issue?

 

On mine, the car shuddered (like a forward to backward shake) when accelerating and going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gear.

Also, when going up an incline, the engine would surge up and down, between 1500 to 2000 rpms the whole time while going uphill.

 

i had dramatic power surging while accelerating and really poor shifts.

 

Try replacing the transmission fluid and filter. Then check that the most up to date software is installed. When the transmission doesn't shift as it should, it confuses the computer so the engine doesn't run correctly. Poor transmission performance affects how the engines performs. The two go together.
