Engine tapping engine ticking

Ok I have a wierd issue...... when I drive my 2010 Tl Awd I hear a ticking sound like the motor is not getting enough oil..... also if I start it then drive anywhere then get out and then back in within a few mins and start the car it sounds even worst.... and on acceleration it sounds like it has no oil at all.. very very loud ticking or tapping from the engine on acceleration. ... I have to hold a flat speed for a min or so for it to stop ticking..... almost as if all of the oil is being pumped away from the motor and it takes a min to curculate or something. .. idk its weird. Any ideas

first have you checked the oil level? If it is low, obviously add some. then I would do an oil change and run full synthetic to see if the helps the problem. Good luck.

Yes I have checked the level and changed the oil 3 different times, once with synth blend and the last 2 times with full synth yet still the same issue.... its almost as if the oil pump isnt working enough or maybe the oil is getting stuck in a specific area of the motor and just not circulating. .... but thats just my assumptions

With the car running, take off the oil filler cap and you should see the oil circulating.
I will go against the current here and say try running regular oil, many Nissan Altimas have a similar issue and running regular oil seems to take care of it,def makes the engine more quiet.
Or it could be that you need to have the valve lash adjusted, may even be the high pressure fuel injectors.

Based on past experiences with Honda J engines, what is most likely to "tick" is the EGR valve. Most of the times because of bad gasoline. Try high octane Shell gas from a busy gas station and see if the ticking goes away. Just a thought...

Do you have an oil pressure gauge? Not sure at what pressure the light comes on. Might be worth having it checked to make sure you are in spec. Could have a clogged passageway that is denying part of the engine good circulation. Reaching a little here.
