It might also be noteworthy that, when I had my car in to the dealership they let some air out of my tires saying the pressure was too high. Unfortunately, they set the front tires to 32 when they should be 37, but the important point is that I don't think I'm having as much trouble with the steering now. Of course, I'll still have to get the pressure set back to 37, but that should give me a good differential on whether that impacts the zigzagging.

Any reason for 37? The car is spec'ed at 32 all around when measured cold.

Like I said gifto76, I have a 2010 and have the same issue. That's great if you aren't seeing the issue in the 2010, so maybe it's the car you got, but I don't think it's completely gone in the 2010 model.

All i can say is that the loaner 2010 and my new 2010 drive the same.....took the new 2010 on a 40 mile test drive before signing. No zig zagging like the 2009.

Normally....when did you pick up your 2010? maybe they updated steering in the later 2010s. alot of people saying the 6mt doesn't have zig zag...perhaps acura carried it over to auto.

I got mine in March. It'd be nice if it were fixed, that should mean it's fixable in other cars as well. But I also feel like there are a lot of potential variables from how someone holds the wheel to the road quality, to the state of the tires, to steering tension, to driver seating position... It's tough to say.

There has been mention made of the difference in steering between the manual and auto. This may be due to the re-engineering on the front end that was done because the manual is nearly ninety pounds lighter.
Drive with the small hand muscles, not the shoulder muscles!
Picking up the 6MT TL on Thursday! Trading in 07 TL 6MT Type S, sad to see it go but time moves on. Don't agree with all the changes to a classic car but hope they find their way again with 5G.

Trader. You should have kept the '08 Type S. I think that TL was as close to the most perfect sedan under $40k I have ever driven. Why anyone would trade/sell a car after only two years continues to bewilder me. You spent all that fucking money, took such good care of it, and then discarded a perfectly good appliance that would have brought you another 75,000 miles or more of pure joy. You obviously make more money than I.

edit; Just re-read your signature. You had 2 '08 TL Type S? You are a hopeless consumer.
