Blown Rear Deck Speaker, Need Help Removing Rear Seat
Blown Rear Deck Speaker, Need Help Removing Rear Seat
Ok, my right rear deck speaker has blown. I have an appointment with dealer, but with all the other issues with speakers I am thinking about installing something better. Does anyone have access to diagrams showing how to remove the rear seat so to access the rear deck, or has anyone already accomplished this?
im not completely sure on this but i beleive that there are at least 2 bolts behind the headrest area. in the previous TL they were accessable through the leather where it overlapped,im sure it should be the same in these but i will check later. also there are some screws near the lower buckles as well that hold the back seat in place.....hope this helps
Please post what you find on how to remove. I have a clunk noise in the back seat area only during local driving (e.g., accelerate mildly from a red light) but not during highway speed (50 MPH and higher). And I'm pretty sure it's not the road noise drowning it out even though it's a faint "clunk".
I want to do some exploration before I let the dealer touch it. I wonder if it's a loose rear deck or something.

ok so to remove the bottom part ofthe seat its really easy there are two clips that hold it in place and they are under the seat closer to the doors. after you take that out you will see some screws that hold the back part of the seat in place after you remove those the back should wiggle out..........but im not completely sure because i didnt see any bolts at the top, so i figured it probably locks in somehow.....hope this helps
removed my rear seats tonight to adjust the dampening on my coilovers. Remove bottom seat as listed above, remove 4 screws, 2 on each side. Lift the back seat up, and then pull out. There is a screw behind the headrest that may be visable from the rear deck area, it has nothing to do with the rear seat removal.

I got my system installed the day after i got my car (2010 sh-awd) i was just cleaning my car and noticed my rear seat cushion is wobbly. after inspection i realized the stupid people who installed my system broke the sliding part of the clip. now i can't clip my rear seat cushion into place. is there any way to replace the clips that attache the hook? i'm so Fing pissed. its clear that they were able to unclip it to remove it, but clipping it back on was too much trouble so they just bashed it in. thats when the broke the clip. can someone help please.
That happened to me as well. I barely found out about it. Did you ever replace it? Does acura sell that part or do you have to buy the whole friggin rear seat....LOL...I remember I wanted to buy a bushing in the suspension and they said I would need to buy the whole setup...220 bucks...psshhhhh!
I will be getting coilovers put in soon and wanted to remove the rear seats so they dont ef it up again and get it all dirty.

It's an easily replaceable and available part. Make them fix it. A Service Advisor tried to remove my back seat to adjust something so he yanked on it. It didn't budge. So he did it harder and broke both clips.
He said the 3G has a push in snap attachment and not a clip like the 4G. Idiot! They fixed it and it's good as new.
