Diagnose Suspension Problem

I have a 2012 TL AWD. My suspension has been very harsh as of late. When I drive over smooth surfaces the car is fine. But once you hit uneven road or potholes it makes a really harsh clunky sound. Its gotten so bad that I'm scared to drive it. I would guess its the structs or shocks, but I took it to the dealer a couple of weeks back and they said its the sway bar. I do think the sway bar is part of the problem but don't think its only the problem. Car has 75,000 miles I've never fixed the suspension so it is probably do for a fix. Any one had this problem or has advice?

Maybe struts but that seems too soon, probably just end links though, the OEM ones like to fall apart and its not unheard of at 75K.

Check the compliance bushings, they tend to start falling apart due to age and conditions.
