Creak when pulling away

Does anyone else get a strange creak from there drivers door whenever they pull away from a stop? I find when the car hooks up to pull away I often hear this annoying sound like an interior panel shifting or something only for a second as I pull away.

It definitely sounds like a body panel shifting or something, I don't think its axle related, it almost sounds like its inside the door.

open up the door panel!! its easy!!

however; when I read the adjective you described when pulling away, it almost echos my creak that last for only about a second...and I know my sound is axle related.

hope you find your creaking noise

I'm interested to know what you find. I hear a clicking (not quite creaking) noise at the front of the passenger side door sometimes when I turn left. I wondered if it was the axle, but I swear the noise is from inside the car like a panel as you described.

I'm having the same exact issue that you described. It doesn't happen all the time, but I noticed it happens when coming to a stop, then does it again when accelerating. It definitely sounds like it could be either the driver's side front or rear door area.

Sometimes the way sounds bounce around the car it is very tricky to pin point the real source. It may sound that is coming from the driver's door, or the dash, but it may be a heat shield in the engine bay. Just a guess based on the traditional Honda heat shields low quality material that goes back to 20 or so years.

Another thought - could it be the plastic panels under the hood moving around? I think I may have that going on. After they have been removed/replaced a few times, I wonder if the fasteners develop a little bit of play allowing the panels to rattle around a bit. I may drop by my dealer to buy new fasteners to see if that works. It's only mildly annoying, but if the fix is easy, it's a no-brainer.

This could definitely be a possibility. A few of the plastic fasteners went missing over the years, so the sound of them rattling could be traveling through the door panels, making it seem like it's somewhere else.
